Dear Readers,

You’ve received this letter because you wanted to know who we are and what motivated us to create “Ambitions Sud International”.

It’s simple… We’ve noted that today, more than ever, economic decision-makers need a link to economic information as it happens, information that’s open to a new world, a borderless world generated by new technologies, a world where relationships have changed and where competition is prevalent and pressing. This phenomenon, started by the Europeanization of systems, is now unfurling over new spaces, compelling all the established principles to evolve globally.

Why “Ambitions Sud International”?

Our small group, closely related to the economy because of our careers in the economic field, was summoned by a wave descending upon our region to stimulate economic development, a wave of people from a wide variety of backgrounds, coming to establish themselves here and participate in the development of employment. But it was important to indicate that some companies in our region were also leaving to conquer new markets, with in fact a certain amount of success. In this changing world we noticed that the economic decision-makers needed clear and striking information, and so we created “Ambitions Sud International” to reply to that need for pertinent thinking, precise analysis and in-depth enquiries on industrial sectors or key projects for the economic future of our beautiful Provence-Alps-Côte-d’Azur region.

An Everyday Challenge…

We have now been enlightening our readers since six years, constantly endeavouring to bring a personal touch with the diverse and, above all, original array of topics we cover. Indeed, what interests us are the real subjects, those that contribute, those that influence, which are relevant for comprehending our region’s economic development, and above all which speak of the actors in the region, of their proficiencies and achievements. That is the reason for the bilingual concept of our magazine, French/English, aiming to integrate an outward view and understanding. We chose English uniquely because it’s the most represented language of the commercial world and because it was imperative for us to present the potentialities of this region and its economic actors to everyone, whether they are from Berlin, London, New York, Moscow, Adelaide, Peking or Tokyo…

Since 1997, many people have watched us, encouraged us, supported us, and even applauded us. If our presence has gained ground, it is thanks to them… Please allow me a moment to pay a tribute to them here.
