PANAMA 2006: Multimodal and Port Work
October 16, 17 and 18th, 2006

During three days the European and Latin American enterprises of multimodal transport and logistic services in the port sector will have the opportunity to exchange information, promote their know-how, products and services and create alliances in the framework of business meetings and technical seminars.

The Eurocenter of business cooperation of Panama together with members of the AL-Invest European program are organizing this free meeting in order to develop ties between European and Latin American enterprises (from Costa Rica, Equator, Guatemala, Peru, Salvador et Venezuela). Technical visits of the ports in the Atlantic Zone, Colon Free Zone and Panama Canal are also scheduled.

Products and services concerned are : assistance and management of cargo, fishing ships and cruise vessels ; port infrastructure (conception, construction, management) ; complementary services (equipments) ; shipyards ; bunkering ; distribution and storage ; logistics etc.

Various types of Business partnerships agreements can be generate like investment, joint ventures, turnkey projects, buying and selling machines, commercial agreements of representation and distribution, strategic alliances, technological and know-how transfers etc.

Marine logistic and transport (Ref.: ECU 01)
The firm was created in 2000 (Turnover : 1.000.000 Euros ; Employees : 10) specialized in marine and air transport and also in international logistics (cargo consolidation, deconsolidation and nationalization) seek for a European partnership to establish a strategic alliance (representation, commercial and subcontracting agreements).

Created in 1995 (turnover : 1.200.000 Euros ; Employees : 8), this enterprise proposes services of construction, conception and consultancy in the port, industrial and marine sectors and is seeking for an European partner for a joint venture (representation and subcontracting agreements).

Services and consultancy (Ref.: PAN 02)
A firm created in 1987 (Turnover: 300.000 Euros ; Employees : 34) is working as a consultant in the corporative, banking, financial and marine law fields (ships registry and nationalization, etc.). Its services are proposed to companies willing to work in Panama or seeking for partners in Panama to develop their activities (representation agreements).

Created in 1969 (Turnover : 500.000 Euros ; Employees : 50), this firm realizes ships repair and seeks an European partner for representation and subcontracting agreements, technology and know-how transfer.

Repair and construction services (Ref. : PAN 04)
An enterprise created in 2001 (Turnover : 90.000 Euros ; Employees : 20) for construction and repair of small and medium craft (technical radio repair, mechanic, weld, fuel and lubricant supplies) seeks for a European partner for a joint venture (representation and subcontracting agreements, technology and know-how transfer).

Goods and services for the marine (Ref.: PAN 05)
This enterprise, created in 2003 (Turnover : 400.000 Euros; Employees : 70), buys and sells motors and marine accessories (oil, propellers, spare parts) with technical assistance. The firm is seeking an European partner for a joint venture (representation, subcontracting and marketing agreements, technology and know-how transfer, buy and sell products and equipments).
