Marseille office’s mission is to mobilize and facilitate partnerships
between French companies, with a special focus on the southern regions, and
those from developing countries. This office takes part of UNIDO investment
and technology promotion network which includes thirty specialized offices
located at developed countries. UNIDO network also includes offices at 42
developing countries.

| The Crans Montana Forum, in
close association with the UNIDO, organises in Geneva (Switzerland)
from April 19 to 20, 2007 a Crans Montana High Level Panel on the
theme "From Fossil to Renewable Energy – the Challenge of
the 21st Century". The purpose of the Forum will be to stimulate international debate, further the understanding of complex development challenges and promote exchange of experience and best practices in the field of Energy. Mr. Kandeh Yumkella, Director General of UNIDO, will chair the Forum’s activities heading an important delegation of Experts from the United Nations. The Forum will gather Heads of Government, Senior Members of Government, International Organizations and permanent missions, Local administrations, Energy agencies, Energy regulators and power companies, Renewable energy industries, Research and academic institutes, Environmental NGOs and consumer groups, Consultancies, Financial institutions, the Insurance sector. AGROFOOD
Production of Snacks (tiles, twisted, chips etc): technical and financial partnership (MOR 294)
This company in the agro food sector works since 2003 in the production and marketing of fresh drinks. Its project is to diversify its activity, still in the agro food sector, with the installation of a complete line of production of snacks made from potatoes dough, rice flour fried to sell on the local market (tiles, twisted, chips etc.). The firm is looking for a partner who could bring some added value to the project , in the creation of new products and in the perspective to reach new markets. It already has a good distribution network for its drinks on the local market.
COSMETICS
Line of Argan oil for the top of the range products (MOR 277 b)
This firm has developed recently a product line, top of the range, for the bath, the face, the body and the Hammam around Argan oil and its benefits. The company reproduces the marketing concept which is used with success in the agro food sector : feature the Morocco tradition values in the framework of a high standard product. The products are presented in elaborated packaging which can also be used as decoration in bathrooms and spas. The production of this firm is entirely exported; rules of production, hygiene and traceability are seriously respected and very strict. The company is looking for a commercial partnership.
ENVIRONMENT
Manufacture of solar water heater (MOR 241)
It is the only solar water heater manufacturer in Morocco. However, the company
does not entirely produce the product but imports some components which are
put together on the spot with other parts produced internally. The firm manufactures
two whole range of solar water heater: open circuit for a high or temperate
weather and closed circuit for weather with risk of frost. The company would
like to increase its turnover in foreign countries and evaluate the possibility
to produce itself all the components on the spot to reduce the production
price and to make the firm more competitive on national and international
markets. Having already specialized labour force and know how, the firm is
looking for a financial partnership.

ENVIRONMENT
Bio methane digester – Innovation (TUN/289)
A firm which has developed an organic waste treatment
is looking for a partner to participate financially and subcontract. The firm
has a technological innovation in its bio methane digester and two clients
are already interested.
Natural gas (TUN/319)
A new project consists in gas tubular installation, which produces both electricity and vapour from natural gas, for a paperboard industry. The promoter is looking for capital investment and technology transfer from a partner. This project will lead to a reduction of greenhouse gas emission
Waste (TUN/347)
The project aims at a land acquisition and a plant construction for hospitals waste treatment through a sterilizer. The collection of waste with infectious risk will be made thanks to adapted transport vehicles: The targeted market for the collection is the network of sanitary-hospitals (public and private) in “Big Tunis” (grouping 90%of sanitary structure of the country). The project has a very high profitability, given the double income which comes from the collection of waster (the cost of inputs are inexistent, hospitals pay to get rid of infectious waste) and from the sale of inermed products to the state’s disposal area.
SOAP
Manufacture of a Detergent composed with Builder Olive Cake Oil Soap with
a by-product from Gas Industry. (Tun/334/T/06-04)
The project is about the elaboration of very different
products like detergent, liquid or pasty, with Olive Cake Oil Soap used for
industrial bleaching, automatic and manual washing clothes, hands washing
etc. This project doesn’t lead to any hydric or atmospheric pollution
since the products are obtained with different components at a low temperature.
