Development of new tubular with the Griflex technology – technical and commercial partnership (MOR 258)
At the start specialized in the production of grating, created in 1967, this company has developed a tubular polyethylene cross linked (PEX) with EVOH coating, in partnership with a European leader. This tubular (called the “Griflex”) is used for hot and cold water distribution for sanitary and industrial use and has high quality, answering to European standards and getting the last technologies in the field. At this current stage, the firm is only producing tubular with a small diameter but would like to develop technologies and know how necessary for the production of tubular with a large diameter and would also like to conquer new markets, both national and international. The activity, linked to the production of Griflex, represents today 70% of the firm’s turnover. Moreover, its production will be switch entirely to the use of this technology, including in the framework of new products developed, also having high value. The firm being the only producer of this type of products in Morocco and the market’s growth are the reasons for this: in the framework of a very strong increase of the real estate, most of the new constructions use Griflex instead of more traditional products as concrete and PVC. The firm is looking for a partner who is able to bring technological and commercial know how in this field to develop new products (tubular with a bigger diameter and other types of range).
