The Var launches the seduction operation

The first ambassadors of the Var are ready to set out to conquer the world to show and highlight their territory, in an operation called "VIP" (Var Image Performance), a vast program.
This initiative, led by the Var Chamber of Commerce, the County Council and the economic development agency "Var Accueil Investisseurs", aims at federating a movement targeting managers, to promote the excellent quality of reception, environment and the competence of labour in the Var department. The Ambassadors, selected among a variety of activities representative of the department and its most performing companies, will be entrusted with an important mission: participating in the promotion of the department, prospecting new companies and accompanying new projects in the Var. If they accept this mission, the 15 or 20 managers selected according to rigorous criteria, will be the "official" partners of VIP, representative of the competence of their territory that they will defend all over the world whenever the opportunity arises. Specific sectors have been carefully targeted to ensure that these managers are not overwhelmed by delicate choices: science and technologies of the sea, health and wellbeing, mechanical sports, agriculture and food industry and environment. Jacques Bianchi, President of the Var Chamber of Commerce, is confident that this alliance will be successful and enhance the image of the department, because it includes high-quality companies, bearers of the image of seriousness and performance of the Var.

The presentation of this great event took place at the Paul Ricard Circuit, which in itself reflects a strong image in terms of technological competence, and the twenty or so entrepreneurs sitting at the meeting table received the message loud and clear. It now only remains to define the important details concerning communication, organisation of events, the choice of missions etc. during the next work meeting which should take place in the course of October.
The initiative unmistakably bears hope and a promising future for the Var, but it also presents difficulties, because everybody must participate ; it must be followed at all the levels, in particular to quickly resolve the various problems linked to the regional development, such as the ways of access, easing the traffic and other inconveniences concerning transport. However, let us remain optimistic and rely on Jacques Bianchi and the managers of Var Accueil Investisseurs, who remain very determined, and we are sure that they will do their utmost to ensure that everything goes for best. Indeed, this desire to consolidate energies is very interesting, notably by the concrete and moral commitment that it proposes to each of these future ambassadors, and by the obligation of collaboration, support and follow-up on behalf of its precursors, which it demands in return. We shall certainly remain attentive to the progress of this initiative, which could serve as an example to others.
